Marx Marx-A-Mansion Dollhouse: Window Cornices

These are the window cornices for the interior windows of the Marx "Marx-A-Mansion" dollhouse. There are three different sizes of cornice to accommodate the various sizes of windows. The large size fits the Living Room window. The medium size fits the Kitchen, Utility Room, Bedroom and Nursery Room windows. The small size fits the Bathroom window. A complete set for your mansion would consist of 1 large, 4 medium and 1 small valance. Our 3D printed replacement parts are precise replicas of the originals. They are printed in a milky-white resin so that they can be painted in any desired color. The original cornices were molded in a cream color.

The cornices do not come with rods or curtains. You can create curtain rods by simply cutting them from metal clothes hangers. Curtains are easily cut from cloth and sewn. Please see the photos for an example of the original curtains and rods.

Not every Marx-A-Mansion dollhouse came with cornices. You will know that yours did if there are small round holes punched in the tin above the upper corners of the Living Room, Kitchen, Utility Room, Bedroom, Bathroom and Nursery Room windows. These are the holes that the cornices attach into. If your Marx-A-Mansion does not have these holes you can still use the our cornices by trimming off the attachment plugs with a box cutter or Exacto knife and gluing magnets to the back of them. They will then work for any metal dollhouse.
